ELADH IN THE COMMUNITY

The Golden Hour Cuddle-Up

The staff at East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital promote love and bonding between parents and baby (skin to skin) the first hour after birth. This critical mother/baby bonding continues with breastfeeding. The benefits of breastfeeding include enhanced immunity for children and improved maternal health.

East Los Angeles Doctors Hospital’s goal is to create a healthier community by improving the health and wellness of families. These objectives are achieved through the promotion of breastfeeding by offering prenatal classes for breastfeeding and childbirth preparation along with resources for basic breastfeeding management. ELADH’s clinical  staff includes 8 certified lactation educators/counselors along with 2 international board certified lactation consultants.
