Visiting Hours
Regular hospital visiting hours are between 10:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. Our ICU unit is open 24 hours a days for visitors to help meet the special needs of these patients. Because we understand that the support of family and friends is an important part of the healing process, we make every effort to accommodate visitors and offer flexible visiting hours when necessary. During certain times, however, a patient's caregiver may ask visitors to step out of the room in order to provide necessary care or to allow patients time to rest. Patients also have the right to refuse visitors (please notify your nurse).
Maternity Unit
24-hour visitation is allowed by the fathers or support person with an identification bracelet given to you by the hospital staff.
Siblings of all ages are welcome to visit.
All visitors, children included, must be healthy and have no rashes, infections, colds, runny noses, diarrhea or recent exposure to any infectious diseases.
Thanks for helping us maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our moms and babies.
Pediatric Visiting Hours
Parents of children on the pediatric nursing units may visit at any time. Chair-beds are available (at request) for parents who want to stay overnight in their child's room.
Visiting Regulations
The following are general guidelines for visitors:
- Visitors and patients may not smoke in the patient room or anywhere in the hospital. Smoking area is designated outside of the hospital building.
- Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
- No more than two visitors are allowed at the bedside at one time.
- Individuals with colds, sore throats or any contagious disease should not visit patients.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid any unnecessary noise.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
- Any personal information about the patient and the diagnosis is confidential. Only immediate family members as designated by the patient will be advised of the status of the patient. Due to our respect for the patient’s privacy, our nursing staff can not release detailed medical status.
- We ask that visitors and patients do not use cellular telephones in the hospital, as they can interfere with sensitive medical equipment.
- The cafeteria is open daily from 8:00-9:30 A.M., 11:30-1:30 P.M., and 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. While it is primarily designed to serve hospital employees, visitors are welcome to eat in the cafeteria at any time it is open. If a visitor or family member wants to eat in a patient’s room, trays are available to take to the patient’s room. Our staff will be responsible to return the tray to the cafeteria.
